Adaptations of Living Things

Homes come in all shapes and sizes, from crunchy leaves on the ground to a hard shell on a turtle’s back.

During these sessions, the students will learn about the needs of Living Things and different adaptations each animal has which help with their survival in their environment, breaking their features down into 3 categories:

● Structural
● Behavioural
● Physiological

Utilising our different “Habitat Banners” provides a visual display of where each animal may be found and how they may adapt to their environment.

Animals the children will meet with amazing adaptations include:
● Lizards
● Python
● Turtle or Frog
● Saltwater Crocodile
● Possum
● Bird
